Hey guys, I just bought a little 1997 opel corsa and i'm pretty happy with it but it has no central locking or alarm

Anyone know if it would be expensive to install them?, is it somthing I could do myself? Anyone done it before?

    Thanks

You'd get an alarm with central locking installed for about €200, DIYable if you are handy enough and don't mind removing trim and getting it back right.

Easier if the car has central locking but no remote.

imo its a pain in the hole. plus you'll end up with rattily doors and a load of broken plastic plugs :)

    Get one of these:

    http://www.saundersonsecurity.co.uk/acatalog/Disklok_Steering_Wheel_Lock.html

Better then any alarm, I've had one for years

same company I dealt with, delivery was 20 pounds but that still worked out half the price of the item from a motor factors down here

I got one of these originally

but it would have damaged the leather steering wheel so i rested it over the handbrake instead

    again a decent visual deterrent
