Can anyone recommend a good place to learn xcode? I have done the online tutorials and all that but I was wondering if there is an evening course in Dublin that I could sign up for?

No Problem. Have a look on github and see is there anything basic going on there, see can you join in. Immersing yourself is probably the best way to do it. If you have a website, building a frontend app is quite good practice!

Thanks for the advice. I have been using Titanium, to mess about with a few basic brochure apps but I was looking to get into more of the fundamentals as Titanium is a bit limiting and head wrecking.

I'm actually about to do the opposite, go into titanium, I've heard it's quite good for being portable across platforms! I'd say give 71squared a go, that's where I learned everything I know about objC

It's not bad. Also being able to export straight to ipone,ipad and android in one go is a cool feature. I think its probably more my Javascript skills holding me back on it. I'll definitely check out 71squared. Cheers

Fitzwilliam Inst seems mad at 14 weeks to one year....

Why not get yourself a good 'Dummies book' and a Mac and get stuck in

I have a Mac alright and read a Dummies book as you suggested!

I code along with the worked examples in the books and online resources e.g. iTunes U but I'm finding that not having a programming background means some of the basic concepts are missing for me. Coding something without a book beside me is too big a leap at the moment.

I think having a tutor at hand to fire stupid questions at would be invaluable!
