Hi I'm getting married in Balyna House in Sept and I was wondering if anyone attended/got married there recently? Any reviews?

Also we're thinking about having the BBQ the next day. Is it too much to expect some people to stay for a 2 day thing or is it better to have something organised?

The venue is superb, I shot a wedding there last Saturday and it went really well. I would say it would be excellent to have a bbq

Some pictures from an earlier visit to see what the place was like

I think it depends on your crowd, and realistically not everyone will stay around, partic family, but personally I love a second day, so much more relaxed, and it;s a nice thing for your guests to have a chill out time and nurse the hangover over a bbq

The back of the house is perfect for BBQ if you have the weather so maybe if you want to have one get a couple of waterproof gazebos (hire/buy) just in case, you can eat inside but keep the BBQ going outside.

Best of luck with the day

May be a bit late for your September wedding but for future people who come across this post they may be interested in these images.

    Cheers.

    I love it there:)
We ruled it out only because we are having a winter wedding and are worried about accessibility with ice and snow.
I would definitely go the 2 day wedding route with the bbq on day 2.
