Well they did have a fairly graphic sex scene on the show itself, but I guess nobody thought that they WERE actually doing it.. I await one of them to explain that they were "method acting"...

his wife found out and insisted he didn't see her any more, and seeing as he's the main character and been there from the beginning it made sense that mrs doyle was sent packing

when mrs doyle was on the late late, i noticed she looked very uncomfortable when asked about her leaving the show

If his wife is that insecure about her husband not being able to resist temptation then she should dump him
.If this was a different work environment he'd be told grow up and behave like an adult . Not their problem he cant keep it in his pants

He would have been a huge loss to the show, easiest solution for the producers was to ditch mrs doyle, she was hardly going to win out over him now was she?

You're right there . I'm just angry because it's more symbolic to me in a sense that she'd being penalized and looked down upon because of what they BOTH did and he carries on as normal.
Not to mention the damage it does to her reputation as an entertainer .
Someone established and professional having a seedy affair is hardly something you want on your CV

oh i agree with you there - its bad form she lost her job, and i certainly don't look down on her, sure there were a pair of them in it. am sure people don't think any worse of her than him though.

Slightly offtopic, but the whole injunction scenario is annoying the f*ck outta me these days. I don't agree with journalists being all in your face or taking photos at a funeral (which is why I dropped out of the area) but neither do I think that because they have pocket money of a few tens of thousand euro they get to pretend they're still the best thing since sliced bread. What happened to honesty and integrity?

I remember watching that interview too and thinking she was acting a bit off/defensive. I just thought it was Ryan Tubridy making yet another guest feel uncomfortable.
