I have signed the primary teachers form for redeployment via the panel. I have heard nothing so far from anyone ??? What happens from now on ?? Should I get a list of where the possible jobs are or do i just sit and wait ??

Well my understanding of it is that schools or VECs have to submit their vacancies to the panel when they arise at the end of the school year/during the summer and then whoever is in charge of the panel then matches teachers for redeployment to those jobs.

As far as i know your supposed to receive you offer before the end of May. The Department is working on the figures now and redeployment offers have to happen before the end of May. There is new stuff on Primary redeployment panels on the Departments website.

Logged on to Dept website this morning and they are making progress at primary level. If I am reading it right there were 888 teachers on the panel at the start.....619 of them have now been redeployed, 21 seem to be without access to the panel and the balance (MYSELF included) of 248 are still there waiting for the offers to come rolling in !!! Seems that most movement was in the urban areas. No movement in some of the rural panels at all.

Sorry to hear your still left in Limbo. Maybe ring the department about it. You may get more information over the phone.

Are you on the main or supplementary panel? They can't offer anything to supplementary until main panel is clear. Went to an INTO meeting the other night and they said that there are 3 panels that don't have enough permanent jobs for the people on the main. The last date for people to let schools know they are retiring is June 1st so hopefully things will start moving quickly then:rolleyes:I'm still waiting for confirmation of supp rights based on substitution hours, the waiting is killing me!

Yes I am on the main panel. No move at all in our diocese here. Seems everyone is holding off till June 1st when all retirements should be known. Presume that schools will start making contact then ????????????

What panel are you on? The Limerick, Tuam and Raffoe are slow moving, there are too many permanent teachers and not enough permanent jobs!
