    Hey guys,

Have a wedding in Kilkenny city at the end of May. Looking for somewhere to do my hair and make up. Heard Rustiq was good. Can anyone confirm that or have any better suggestions??? I really have no idea as Im from Galway!

    Would really appreciate any feedback.

    Thanks :D

My sister got married in Kilkenny a few years ago and everyone (bride, bridesmaids, mother of the bride and a few other relations to boot!) went to Hair Court in Market Yard (near the big Dunnes store) - they were so lovely, very good and afaik not too expensive. The whole salon was filled with the brides family and they were very accommodating, nobody had to wait for ages and we were all done around the same time so we could all leave together without waiting around afterwards.

My sister is a beautician so I cannot recommend anyone in Kilkenny for you because she got some colleagues to do her wedding make up for her (and half the family!)! Quite a few beauticians will do a house service (that is, come out to the house/hotel the morning of the wedding) so def worth ringing around to see if they can send someone out to you. They usually have a portfolio to look at to show that they are capable of whatever you want done so you could ask them to email you to see if you like it.

    Good luck!

    Hi OP,

There are loads of really good places in Kilkenny- there is this place: http://www.kieranogorman.ie/- I've never been but I've heard good things and you could get hair and make up done in the same place.

Hair Court are good as stated above, and if you were to go there I'd recommend Bliss Beauty (http://www.blissbeauty.ie/)- only a few minutes walk from Hair Court and they are so nice in there and really good.

A beauty salon that seems to be really popular in Kilkenny at the moment is Mint (http://www.mintbeauty.ie/), they do great packages and deals.

I don't know much about Rustiq, think they are good though. Only thing is it's a bit out of the way, it's not down town. If you're staying in Hotel Kilkenny though it'd be handy cos it's near there.

Another Hairdressers I went to before that was good was Salon 87 just off the main street so that one would be handy if you went to either Bliss or Mint for your make up.

Where are you staying? May as well pick somewhere handy for you,
