Please select the option that best describes you. Post your comments if you like.

The poll will not display your name, nor will I be able to see the names when the poll is finished, so feel free to make your choice without the worry of bad men coming to break your legs at night.

The poll results will be released in 12 days when the poll will close. Check back then!

If you do choose to post comments, we can't assure you that bad men will not come to your house late at night to break your legs.

I was having a brief chat with my dad earlier, and I wanted to explore the true feelings of Catholics and Protestants in Ireland, north and south.

I have no legs either. I didn't realise at the time, but they'd been hacked off shortly after I posted this thread. Sneaky.

But I still dont see what it has to do with Catholicism or protestantism. Why not have a poll and ask all religions what they think? or citizens and people of non-religion? Because its ultimately just a ''citizen'' problem and has nothing to do with religion.

I do not see what it has got to do with Christianity. its just a piece of land. Whoever owns it owns it and runs it well. If they decide to hand it over to us for us to run it in the morning its still going to be run by us and run rather well, just as good as the opposite side.

But if your asking me what I think of a united Ireland elsewhere. I'd tell you to let'em keep it. More tax down our way would have to be paid and we'd go deeper into debt than the country is already in having to spend more on the extra counties.

The debate is traditionally framed between Catholics, who we are told, want a united Ireland, and Protestants who desire the union with Britain, sew its seams. I want to see what is really the case by asking them, hence this thread.

I'd suggest most northerners would think similarly - they have an excellent healthcare system - the NHS. The fact is, many northerners could not afford to live in the State. Not only that, but the standard of living in the north would drop if the State took over. The UK pumps quite a lot of money into the north.

hahaha and whats theological about that debate? they are not Catholics and protestants. They are patriots and victims of patriotic brainwashing. Nothing Christian about this thread at all.
