2 questions re Pharmacies

    1. Why do they always leave their outdoor neon signs on when they aren't open? It's very frustrating when looking for a late-night / Sunday pharmacy that's open, only to spot the sign in the distance, drive up to it, and it's closed! They all do it - I live in Dublin and today I drove by ones in Donaghmede, Clongriffin and Baldoyle (racecourse) trying to find one that was open. They all had their signs flashing (those "green cross" neon lights).

    2. Why do all pharmacies have that raised platform where they fill prescriptions? Why does it need to be raised?

    Thanks.

    1. Probably forget to turn it off.

    2. To keep an eye on the shop and maybe increased privacy.
