With the introduction of the new Mobile Safety Cameras, I was wondering....

Do these new private Camera Vans replace or free up a certain amount of Garda workload? and if so, will we see an increase in detection rates of other crime and general Garda productivity when the new crime figures are released?

Don't think they free up much resources, some maybe but I still see plenty of marked cars taking readings (though I don't see many tripods anymore). I wouldn't place much significance on any increase in other crime detections anyway 'cause that could be down to more crimes attempted rather than more crimes detected.
