I would imagine so. It doesn't matter to FETAC whether the candidates are day or evening students.

I have taught both day and night courses at the same centre, all FETAC accredited, and our externs were subject-based.

For example, one of my subjects was Print Journalism, and was taught as a night course, so that was examined along with all other media-related modules on the day courses when the extern came in late May.

It depends on whether the night class centre uses the same FETAC centre number as the day time. It also depends on the system in use - whether it is External Examination or Authentication - FETAC assigns external examiners in most but not all cases while in the case of authentication the centre deals directly with the recruitment of the authenticator.

In my centre they are jointly assessed, FETAC wont let you seperate day and night on the basis that the students are all taught in the same centre so should be assessed as one.
