Fleet costs for companies

Folks, I know there are a few fleet guys in here, but how big of a difference is there between different cars say over 3 years? Say from an Astra to a Passat to an Insignia to a 3 series obviously without going into anything too commercially sensitive.

Using mid-level specs as the basis

Depends on mileage, and what the fleet company can buy each car for.

An Astra could be anywhere from 300 to 500, 320d could be from 650 to 800 per month.

If you're looking to see what you can get for your money (;):p) the best thing to do is to just ask whatever fleet company your employer deals with to quote for what you want, and what your employer says your entitled to and go from there.

I had a situation like this last month, guy had a 650 per month allowance, he wanted an Insignia Elite with a few bells and whistles. I quoted for what he could have at his limit, and what the Elite would cost him.

He went away and argued and eventually got what he wanted.

Thanks Drummer, I think the passat is the preferred company option and there's nudges in that direction, but i'd prefer an Insignia myself so just trying to see if there'd be a large cost differential.

The RRP different between an elite insignia and a comfortline is about 2-3k and the highline is pretty similar in price. Before i go to the fleet company i need to go via HR in the UK and its been a slow process so far!

Actually Drummer if possible could you provide me with rough figures for the insignia via PM?
    apologies if this isnt allowed..

There would be a difference between an Insignia and Passat (Probably a fairly big one).

REsiduals would be something similar to each other, but as you already know the Insignia can be bought cheaper.

Not only that, but a 2.0 diesel vs a 1.6 diesel is a bit of a no brainer. Not only that, but lead times for a Passat are insane at the minute.

I'll PM you my email cos I Won't be on here tomorrow in the office....
