Have you joined a golf club within the last year or two?

I hope this is ok with the moderators to post this request here; do let me know if not.

I'm a freelance journalist writing a consumer article about golf clubs for a national newspaper, and I'm looking to talk to someone who has joined a golf club relatively recently (say within the last year or two), for the purposes of a small 'case study' panel with the main article.

The focus of the article will be on golf club membership entrance fees, annual subs and green fees and how much they have come down in the last two or three years.

I would be particuarly keen to talk to someone (male or female) who has joined a club as a result of a special offer or a vastly reduced entrance fee or annual sub, and as a result has saved considerably compared to if they had joined say, three years or four years ago.

I was pointed in the direction of this active forum by a couple of my sources.

Good article John. Perhaps you could do a follow up on the best bargain green fee rates ie. Green Fee and Grill for €25 etc............

The more transparency we have in the market, both for golf membership charges and green fees, the easier it will be for the average golfer to make buying decisions and get value for money.
