Frontend system help

I'm an absolute noob when it comes to this:

Got my arcade machine up and running yesterday, have WinXP on it and can run the latest version of MAME, but how do I go about setting up a "Frontend" system that would also let me select Snes, MegaDrive emus etc... I have ArcadeOS but have not got a clue how to set it up and the few tutorials I found online have just left me more confused

    Thanks in advance :)

Hyperspin is a resource hog though, you'll need a serious pc just to run it well, never mind Mame itself!
I use Mala myself, at the other end of the spectrum, very simple to setup, can be a by basic though although is quite customisable.

There are sites that do nothing but discuss mame and frontends, so Google away!
Also think what other emus you might want to run and if the front end will run it from the menu.

Gets my thumbs up as the best frontend.

I see what you mean, that system is a no go for me as it's very sluggish on my machine, looks nice though.

Thanks for the help guys and I'll keep trying all that you suggest :)

Hyperspin is by far the best looking and supported. but like was mentioned you need a decent pc to run the themes.

Maximus Arcade would be second choice on a machine that doesnt have a decent processer or memory.

Went with Atomic FE, something like Hyperspin but less memory hungry and it was very easy to step up.

Thanks again for the help everyone, I'm off to play Super Bomberman :pac:
