    Hi

I am trying to find out information for a friend of mine. He has recently moved in with his brother and bros gf and renting a room from them, just pays cash no rental agreement etc (though one could be written up if needed i suppose). Anyway he is 24 and about to sign onto the dole, will he be entitle to the €144? He was signed on a few months ago while living with his parents and only got a very small social welfare payment because of this. Will renting from their brother make a difference (ie not living with parents) or is that seen as family and the brothers household will be means tested?

And he didnt move in with his brother for this reason, he is genuinely living there as it was closer to where he had a job for a few months and now he is staying there for the forseeable future at least.
