    Hi I have an appointment for the Beaumont hospital breast clinic coming up. I'm waiting for my medical card application to come through and have no other health insurance. It's my first visit, referred by my doctor, so I'll be getting a consultation and possibly triple assessment. So I'm wondering if I get stuck with no medical card, will there be costs? and if so what kind of costs?

    Public appointments are free. If you are admitted at any point there is a €75 a night charge, capped at €750 a year.
