    Hi lads,

I was thinking of a pre 1990 cheapy 4x4 (sub 1500e) like a swb pajero or similar to run as a 2nd runabout on classic insurance.

I'd imagine a passenger version with nct and private tax would be straightforward for a classic policy.

However, what would the story be with a comm version with doe?
The reason I ask is that I know of a gem 1988 swb pajero - but it's the comm version.

    Anyone got any ideas?

    Thanks

What it's built and taxed as shouldn't make any difference to how it's insured but this is Ireland

I think you'll find a lot of classic insurers will do vehicles over 20 years old but won't touch commercials. My 101 is with Aviva through O'Riordans in Cork but I had to put it in writing that I wasn't going to tow with it other than to shows.

Be very lucky to find a 4X4 of the age that isnt either a totalled POS or a expensive collectors piece that costs a mint. Most stuff that I have seen here is end of life scrap at 20 years.Fit for a breakers or parts .
    Great pity...:(
