    What was your favorite decade?
Take everything into account, style, music, fashion, your stage in life.

    I liked the 90's
We had great summers, the Dubs were winning all Irelands, Rap was still for black people, sky made great tv like Ibiza uncovered with girls getting them out all the time. phfaaww. Mad cloths too. Everyone was taking ecstasy, we had world cups.
    What more could you want!

I liked the fact you had none of this post 9/11 bull.**** we appear to have today. The sheer lack of political correctness was great. I still can't believe how cartoon network got away with showing stuff like Ren and Stimpy. Parents today would go crazy over that. Oh yeah, I forgot, the simpsons didn't suck balls back then either:eek:

The 90's music was brilliant the weather wasn't as crazy people dressed however they wanted and weren't judged. Mobile phones weren't as popular hence annoying ringtones ignorant people using the phones driving, anyhow definitely 90's too young to remember the 80s:(

The 1990s by a very long shot.

Fuck my teenage years. They were a mess of hormones, shitty school, and other such crap that really only began to get good in the last two years of the decade. So I'm going with the 2000's. Spent the early years becoming a person that closely resembles who I am now, and the later part was having great fun.

2000s is the only one I remember.

    Sucked overall.

Personally, the 00's but I've no other option.

None of it, it was all shite. Too young for the 90s, too poor for the 00s and still poor for the 10s. All in all the last 22 years have been pretty shit to say the least.

In a coma, or are you trying to pretend you were so mad out of it on drugs or booze that you LITERALLY can't remember it?

I love sixties music but I can't say that was my favourite decade because I wasn't around for it. The best decade I lived through was the seventies. Actually I only lived through the last four years of it but I remember those four years being fun. Sadly you seem to think there have only been three decades so I can't vote in your poll.

The majority of music released since the eighties has, in my opinion, been crap. There was some good eighties television though with the likes of Quantum Leap and the eighties version of The Twilight Zone.

If you think rap still belonged to black people in the nineties you must be forgetting about that decades biggest selling rapper.

I'm saying the 00s simply because I'm 20 now, so I've spent my teenage years in the 00s, and I'm at the best stage of my life when I'm in college, I'm travelling, I'm trying all sorts of new things, I'm just basically living.
Some of the music is bad, but a lot of it is great - Arcade Fire, The Strokes, Arctic Monkeys, Amy Winehouse, Adele, Lily Allen, Lupe Fiasco, Justice, Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Lady Gaga (regardless of what you think of her, she's changing pop music), Outkast (reached their prime in the 00s), Eminem, etc. We also saw the death of Michael Jackson.
In terms of literature, Cormac McCarthy wrote The Road and No Country For Old Men in the 00s, and he's arguably the best living writer. Atonement was written in 2001, the phenomonen of Harry Potter took over.
There have been loads of fantastic movies made - There Will Be Blood, No Country For Old Men, The Dark Knight, La Haine, Let The Right One In, Brokeback Mountain, City of God, The Lord of the Rings trilogy, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, Up, Slumdog Millionaire, Little Miss Sunshine, Inglourious Basterds, The Pianist, The Departed...the list goes on.
It's also been a pretty incredible decade politically. We've witnessed the election of the first African American president, unrest in the Middle East with push backs against opressive regimes and the emergence of Al Qaeda (which will continue to shape the world), and the biggest global recession of all time.
There have been significant advances in technology, with the arrival of things like iPods and such. The way we communicate has completely evolved with the introduction of Twitter and Facebook. Wikileaks has (and continues to) greatly influence the world, which has sparked healthy debates about freedom of speech and the press. Space exploration continues to advance, and science has emerged as an ever increasingly powerful force.

It's been a turbulent decade, and not everything has been positive, but I think that on the whole it's been a pretty incredible decade with a lot of dramatic changes and developments.
