Internships in publishing/printing, etc?

I'm just about to finish my degree and have no idea where to go to get a proper job. I'm interested in doing anything associated with the writing process, particularly working with publishing companies/magazines/newspapers, but I have no clue where to start. How do I find out if local companies are willing/want to take interns? How do I go about finding a suitable position? I'm really clueless, but I desperately want to start working at something worthwhile. What am I supposed to do?

There should be a careers advisor in your institution, or a careers web page. They're supposed to advise students in your position.

As for the rest, I say start doing some research, contacting any publishing/printing companies you come across and asking if they have a position, telling them what you can offer. There is no established path in that industry.

OP, keep an eye here for something suitable

However, beware of how you may really just be exploited.
