    Not many fighters put Muhammad Ali down when he was Cassius Clay. Sonny Liston couldn't do it. Later on George Foreman couldn't do it, nor Earnie Shavers.

    Indeed, but also, Clay aged 21 was far from fully mature. He had an even stronger chin when he matured fully. He was stronger when he met Liston, and even stronger later after this.
    Hence why I really feel that the older Ali would have taken that left hook
    a lot better.
