Red Damselfly

I came across this little Red Damselfly today 01 May '11 near to Cadamstown in Co Offaly. I managed to get it to rest on my finger which gives a good scale for size of these beatuiful creatures.

Necronomicon

Fantastic.

Just looking at your gallery and everything is very well categorised. Is it all your own knowledge of species or do you have some entomological resources? I've often shot things that I haven't been able to identify.
