Guys how do we fix this?

A friend showed me this https://discussions.apple.com/message/15095523

It suggests ports not being open could be the issue if its only happening on wi-fi network. Ive opened the ports on my router but no fix.:(

Saw somewhere else that it could be the carrier settings or something like that. So if after a restore or iOS upgrade maybe the carrier settings are getting screwed up.

I wonder can Vodafone,in my case, send those settings to my device?

I don't hunk it could be the problem the only notifications apart from mail that I'm getting is viber the rest are all dead.

    Is your iPhone jailbroken ?

Not now it's not. I did jailbreak it and after I restored it I've no push notifications. I've re-restored it a few times. Re-installed apps etc etc. Think I'll ring VF and see if they can send those settings. Worth a shot. What about restore and setup as a new phone in iTunes?

    Any fix on this?

Ive been looking up on how to re/install carrier settings but nothing yet. Tried in I tunes but it keeps saying they are upto date. No re-install option

Any one problem with push Download free Push notification test from app store and check if it works.
If you are using push for service such as boxcar disable it and enable it.
my push is working fine on latest jailbroken 4.3.2 ( No push doctor etc)

    I have fixed mine.

    This is what i did.
i backed up my iphone and restore to the original firmware.

then i jailbroke it with cydia.

then follow this steps as from 3 downwards.

    http://jaxov.com/2011/04/download-sam-to-activate-iphone-officially-on-ios-4-3-2-how-to-guide/

after adding Sam download push fix or push doctor.

    I downloaded both.

    Then test with ipusher.

Happy days. I haven't time ATM to give this ago by I will when I can. I would prefer to do it without having to jailbreak though. Could it be a glitch in the iPhone backup file that does it. What I mean is if you restore from the same file that has the glitch then it may never work?

Just trying updating to the latest firmware and see what happens.

Updating to 4.3.3 solved the Push problem for me but the battery is now running down at a shocking rate, even with push and anything else I can think of turned off.

It was fully charged at 1AM and now at 26% with no use :( Its not and never has been jailbroken if that makes a difference

    Any ideas anyone?

    Thanks

Freeze...did you leave your phone jailbroken or did you go back to original iOS after the push fix?

I finally getting round to looking at this more, doin a restore to original firmwares now.Might try a down grade and then update as well.

for some reason if ya restore a backup after an IOS update the battery life can be sh!te, do a restore and set it up as a new phone and then sync everything back, only thing ya cant sync is emails and texts

Success!! I did a firmware restore according iClarified instructions and with their iOS files. Set it up as a new phone and BOOM fixed. Happy camper.

@Admins An option to mark threads as solved would be nice.
