Hi I have a really old W.H and G.H. Dreaper piano from Liverpool. Its not in brilliant condition but I was wondering does anyone know a place that takes in old pianos or if anyone is interested in buying?

It really does depend on the condition of the piano. Some old pianos might be a bit out of tune but are well built enough that when tuned up they are quite decent. However, a lot of old pianos are either badly make, un-tunable etc...

You could ring around some of the reputable piano dealers and make enquiries, a piano technician could tell you if it was worth saving it or not as soon as they got a proper look at it. I find the Piano Gallery in St. Mullins very good. Chris and Marcella are always helpful if you give them a ring. There are probably a few places in Dublin too.

I am a piano teacher and I always have students looking for beginner pianos but have learned to be very wary of old/new pianos unless I get an informed opinion on it.
