Windows 7 Volume Mixer keeps changing my volume levels...

I've been having a lot of difficulty lately with the Windows Volume Mixer - for some reason, it keeps modifying the volume level for TeamSpeak 3 to about 10% (when I normally have it at 100%) when I start a number of different games - namely Saints Row 2 and the Synergy mod for HL2 which is becoming a real pain in the arse (having to alt-tab out of the games everytime I'm on TeamSpeak is annoying, at times). Also, a similar issue occurs with Dawn of War II where the volume level is bumped up to 100% and, considering that I typically have the volume level at 50%, it's very irritating on my ears :P

Is there any way I can stop Windows from messing with the settings, or am I stuck with it?
