    Hi All,
I have a self build and the skim plaster was finished on the inside a few weeks ago, as to painting what's the next step, does it need to be primed first and if so with what and how many coats??, after primer what is needed to finish wall and how many coats.
If no primer is needed what type of paint should be used and how many coats.

Watered down white emulsion paint (4 paint to 1 water) and just roller it onto the fresh plaster.

Leave for a day or 2 soak and seal into the plaster and then start to paint away to your hearts content.:)

Don't use a vinyl paint though. Use a non vinyl contract emulsion for first time decoration.

Bad idea to polybond first just seals in any damp left and will bilster later
