fake tan on inner arm

I have a bit of a problem, whenever I apply fake tan I am always left with white inner arms (the bit where no hair grows). This is on both arms, no matter which tan I apply (except Sally Hansen, that stuff will turn out even no matter what!).

It doesn't even just fade out, I'm left with a quite noticeable line fron white to tanned, most noticeable where my elbow is, but it continues up and down my arm.. The tan will literally only stick to my outer arm..

I've tried St Mortiz (spray and mainly mouse), Loreal Sublime Bronz (spray, gel and the one day lotion), a few of the moisturisers with developing tan, Sun Shimmer, and a few others. It happens with them all!

I thought it might be something to do with me bending my arm too much while waiting for it to develop, but the same thing happens with instant tans (loreal one day and sun shimmer), from the moment I apply them..

If anyone has any tips/advice it would be greatly appreciated..

Oh, and also any tips on how to apply tan evenly to neck and collar bone, mine are probably quite prominent, but I find it very hard to make it even around here - and its the bit you can always see so its such a pain having to waste foundation to cover up the ban tan !

(I'm actually quite good at doing tan, it just never takes to these areas :o)

    It happens me too.
And I also use a tanning mit.

Imo, I think its from not exfoliating enough on that part of my arm. .

I think you are right with the hunch of it because you bend your arms and rub it off. Even instant tan has to dry, so this might explain why this is rubbing off.

I find that my inner arms are WAY paler than the outer parts of my arms, and usually I account for this by putting a bit more on.

Generally my arms is the last place I put my tan on, and I know I should wait to get dressed but most times I dont. So maybe put a layer of tan on your inner arms, then start at your legs, work your way up and reapply your arms again.

As for the neck, make sure that you put loads of moisturiser on before hand. Then apply the tan to just below your neck, reapply moisturiser mixing with the tan and draw it up your neck. This was you will have a smooth transition. I do this with my hands too. No yucky orange hands then:D

    Hope this helps:D

    Neck bit helps allot :)
But even instant tan will not go on my inner arms, once you apply out there should be a color (like there is on my outer arms) but it just kind of rubs around my inner arms, not going into my skin at all :(
