Using TV as a monitor question

    Hi,

I've connected my laptop to my TV. I've set the output to 'monitor' and adjusted the screen resolution so that's the picture taken care of.

How do I get the sound to transfer from the laptop speakers to the TV? At the moment the sound is coming from the laptop and it isn't great.

    Thanks.

Use a 3.5 to rca, male rca, male 3.5mm audio from the audio, line out on the laptop, a 3.5mm to 3.5mm ,both male, if the tv has a 3.5mm audio in socket.both cost 2 euro in powercity ,or maplins ,maybe 3 euro.it may have a headphone icon near the socket, read the tv manual for more info re connecting pc.you may need to change audio source in the tv audio menu.

I'm guessing you used a vga cable for the picture.
