A lad I know found bullets from his .22 rifle that has since legally parted hands and he was what to do with ammo. Could the cops do him for this?

yes they could,it specifies on the firearms licence what ammunition a person is allowed to carry and if it aint on that then it is being carried illegally

get him to give it to you or someone who has a 22 why keep it if you cant shoot it,have a good search in the car incase you ever get stopped and a guard spots some and takes issue with it!
