    Hi guys,I need some advice.
    My parents are going to be in America for 2 weeks and I was thinking of ordering some things I want on line and getting it shipped to the address where they are staying(friends house) to save them having to waste time on their holiday looking around shops for me.Can I order on line with my Irish credit card and get things shipped to an american address and then they can bring it back with them?

    Will depend on the seller. Some sellers will be suspicious of foreign credit cards being used to deliver goods to an address such as a hotel or guesthouse. Would go against all common sense for a retailer. Your parents would have to be in to sign for delivery so it may be just as inconvenient!

    Also if there's a delay your parents may be gone!

    I do it all the time. Plenty of US retailers will sell to you also. Just depends on what you want to buy. For example Amazon. They have a separate section for your billing address and delivery address. If you are sending to a friends house over you should be fine.

    What I always do when entering the delivery address I write My name C/O Friends name just in case they have to go pick it up at the delivery depot or postal depot and need to show id. Or if your parents are there just put their name on it and it should be fine.
