A lot of the premium cable networks are starting to produce there own original series, whether a good thing or a bad thing at least there is more variety around.

Looks like soft porn acting without the soft porn. :)
    (i.e. really really bad)

About time!.....the first three episodes of this show is out, i must check it out later, see what it's like.

    Ah lads!....listen, i watched ep. 1-3 last night and.....a had a blast! :D
I think i was in a giggly mood but i was laughing away at each ep. - it's cringetastically BAD!

Really really bad, from script to the utterly DIRE acting! - it's sooo cheesy, these stories are right outta some 50p bargin bucket pulp novel or private dick serialisation.

Ep. 1 was like watching an American daytime soap with the slow zoom shots, incedental music, it was all round dreadful.....but i bloody had a good laugh watching them!

Not sure if they were intended to be funny, but i LMAO!.....i suspect there supposed to be cheesy noir/pulp crime novel stuff. It's got some pretty hot girls, lots of nudity and fine girl-on-girl action, standard softcore stuff.

I'm not recomending it, i'm just saying if you're in the right mood, half p!ssed or stone it could be a good laugh! ;)

Ep. 4 is out...hoping for more giggles from this show :-)

cracking 4th episode!....genuinely funny, best written and acted ep. thus far, it had a proper story, characters and structure....it was like Chuck meets Kill Bill/La Femme Nikita with a bit of Eyes Wide Shut.

Reggie Hayes was excellent, he had some funny dialogue and scenes, the Thriller costume :D , bustin' them Michael Jackson moves! :p

Here is an in-depth review, i'd definately recomend you see this one as it was a proper story: http://grizzlybomb.com/2011/06/07/cinemax%E2%80%99s-femme-fatales-episode-4-%E2%80%93-%E2%80%9Cspeed-date%E2%80%9D-review/

Anyone watching?....nah?, seen all 7 thus far, latest had a horror story, chick gets posessed and feeds off men etc., of course she's fully nude with obligatory softcore stuff.

Ep. 11 was the second best of the season, like a female version of The Hangover, no idea about ratings but i wouldn't mind seeing a second season, it's cheesy as hell but i get a giggle at how bad it all is :-)

    Btw...Tanit rocks as Lilith!

We've come full circle, ep. 12 featured three of the femmes from previous eps. , this was a two parter....i'm gonna guess all the other main characters from each episode will feature next week thus tieing the whole series together. Solid episode though.

I love when you have conversations with yourself!

Had no idea about this anyway, I'll grab the first episode later and give it a go, still have the latest Rescue Me to watch:)

:( very poor and sloppy end to the series...last week held promise for a decent finale with a good story, but it was utter drivel. It was heavily implied Lilith was in fact the other body found in the grave along with Tara. Lilith is our moderator/narrator for the show.

Fatales has been extremely patchy, listen...it's basically softcore porn dressed up as scripted content, i'd say three out of 13 eps. were proper stories, i've spoken about them here.

It's watchable, if you accept the content...it's extemely cheesy, from a technical standpoint some eps. had very good lighting and sometimes decent cinematography. I wouldn't recomend it unless you're aware of what you're getting into and accept the numerous flaws.

According to this interview Cinemax has already renewed it for a second season!

    http://grizzlybomb.com/2011/08/03/inside-the-grizzly-studio-femme-fatales-creators-mark-a-altman-steve-kriozere/

Earlier you mentioned that Cinemax will be renewing the series for another 13 episodes. Was renewal close or did it get locked up early? And how have the ratings been compared to what you expected?

MAA: We’ve been lucky that the ratings have been great. We knew we were getting a pick-up for additional episodes early, but, as I said, it wasn’t decided until recently that this would be a real second season. We’re grateful the network believes in the show and has been so supportive and despite everything else Steve and I have going on, we hope to do many more seasons, as long as it’s still fun for us. We get to do things we could never do on any other show and it’s also got us a lot of attention from other networks that can’t believe what we’re doing with our very limited budget who have been extremely impressed with the show and opened some great opportunities for us as producers as well in the future. Anyone who knows anything about television when they hear what we’re making these episodes for is blown away by the production value and what we’re able to accomplish on our budget and schedule…and still have great catering.

Second season we have a lot more of that with Jeff Fahey in “Libra” who is totally old school noir, ‘Bob Mitchum meets Bogey’ awesome. And we have Robert Picardo who we love from “Gremlins II” and “The Howling” and Antonio Sabato Jr, Kyle Gass from Tenacious D, Casper Van Dien who I got to talk “Starship Troopers” with for hours, and Leilani Sarelle form “Basic Instinct” and a bunch of others that I won’t even mention because I don’t want to spoil the surprise.

Femme Fatales heads to Comic-con today and they'll preview the much hyped season 2 finale called Libra, it's female ass kicking superhero stuff!

Hour long finale....if you never watch this show i highly recomend you watch Libra, but you'll have to wait a few more weeks yet.

    4.4/5.....episode 2x11 was SUPERB! :D
Man that was too much fun to watch!, pure Grindhouse....total homage, three hot girls with shotguns....happy christmas motherf**kers! :D

    femme-fatales-august2012-episodeguide.jpg

LOL!....shot about 17 cops dead, really well directed and edited, terrific music....but i SAW the twist at the end, Lydia being El Jeffe ;)

The stories are predictable, but for the micro budget they have they do a superb job, season 2 has been much much better, better stories....and episodes refrence other eps. or continue stories from season 1.

But it's all go now for the much hyped two part finale....LIBRA! :D

Based on the graphic novel, female turns costumed superhero....they built it up in 2x11 as a cop was reading the Libra comic in one scene.

    libra1.jpg

"A woman creates her own superhero identity to avenge the death of her mother at the hands of her gangster father."

The episode has a story by Layton and a teleplay by Buckaroo Zang. It was directed by Robert Meyer Burnett.

"Libra" will premiere on Friday, August 10.

    ^can't wait!!!!
