Every year I visit my family near Brest, travelling with Ryanair on their Dublin-Brest route. I usually book these flights in March/April, as they don't operate this route during the winter months...

It's almost May and the route is still not up on the website! Do you know if theyare going to re-open it? I have tried to call them numerous times, but nobody answers the phone. Getting worried about how I'll get back home!!:(

    Thanks for your tips!

    Perhaps it has been discontinued........

Unfortunately, (not the OP personally per se) the constant Ryanair bashing, the outrageous media biased hype against Ryanair continuously winding up the gullible short sighted public, coupled with the escalating fuel prices is finally landing us back to the very grey gloomy days of Ireland in the hideous 60's and 70's, when we were all trapped on this G forsaken island at the mercy of Aer Lingus and its greedy political entwined cartel.

A case of well deserved Déjà vu brought about by shooting oneself in the foot is the order of the day to the trapped islanders perhaps.

This flight has been cancelled along with most other Ryanair services from Brest.

The good news is that you can still fly from Dublin to Brest with flybe, however you will have to change planes in Southampton on route.

Aer Arann also run direct flights from Galway and Waterford to Lorient.

Thanks Cosmo, will check this out ASAP! :)

Chinasea, you are SO right. I lived all over Europe and was always able to get back to my family 2 to 3 times a year, thanks to Ryanair. It's not fair on them being so far away from their Grandkids and Ryanair meant families all over Europe could still see each other easily. It goes the same for all the Irish who had to emigrate... how do they get back here to see their loved ones if they can't afford it? So sad!!
