new computer iphone question

    Hi people just doing finishing touches of moving all my files etc to my new macbook pro and have a feeling and from reading google results i may be right that when i connect my iphone that is synced with my old macbook pro to my new one that even though i have all the music & apps on my new mac in itunes it will make me delete everything on the iphone and re sync am i right ? also this wont affect any of my contacts or anything that right ?

    yes it will delete everything that was previously set to sync, if ya didnt sync contacts they will be fine

    How did you transfer your files to your new Macbook? The above won't happen if you migrated your user account using OS X's Migration Assistant.

    ^ I copied my itunes libary from old computer to new one so basically have same libary on new hard drive as far as itunes is concerned nothing has changed i have authorised this computer also, i decided against using the built in migration tool due to a response in mac forum

    i unchecked synce notes, contacts etc with no problem so now just have to backup what music i sepcifically have one phone since my libary has allot more then 16gb and have to take note of what apps i have on the phone as i have more in my libary then on phone incase the eventual dreaded having to put everything back on again happens

    went ahead and connected iphone to new computer but nothing happened just a normal sync might have helped transferring my itunes folder from one to the other
