ok peeps, had 4 new tyres fitted on the car ,collected the car from garage and drove around and found that the car was drifting to the left on a very straight road so i brought car back to the garage and they balanced and re aligned the wheels ,after taking it for another test run i still find the car drifts to the left,, could there be a more serious problem than wheel alignment as the garage just had there wheel alignment system there just been repaired.

It could be a few things that will make the car pull. If you are very low on air with the right front tire, this will cause car to drift, if the alignment is way off, if you have any loosness or damage in the front suspension that will cause the alignment to be out of spec.

All cars will drift left (if they're tracking correctly) on public roads due to road camber - the centre of the road is the high point and the edges of the road are the low point, to allow for good drainage.

Did you have this problem before the 4 new tyres were fitted and did the garage do a wheel alignment on it before any drifting was noticed?

You'd need to find out if they are checking the full range of settings when checking the wheel alignment. Just checking the toe angle is no good, camber, castor, thrust angle etc can all cause the car to drift to one side.

However, as Chris said, all cars will slowly wander to the left on normal roads.
