Did a search and cant find anything on this..anyway just want to give a heads up on this.

10yr old cars will have to be tested every year, but if yours is due a test this year if you get it done before 1st June you will get a 2yrs cert.

Just got mine done at 6.30 and passed
    drinks on me
    :)

What a torment and trying to further bring this "old car = bad car" propaganda into our heads.

Stupid government just wants people buying new cars all the time to bring in more tax. Bunch of ould ****

I'll have to cut back on my tyre budget and get the cheapest ones so I can afford this now.

If the difference between the tyres you currently buy and the cheapest ones is €16 a tyre then your probably not on great tyres anyway.

There has been loads of discussion on the subject, but no harm in another reminder.

How long before your test is due can you get it done again for a further 2 years?
As in, if the test is due in September, can one get a test done in May and have 2 years added on from the September date? Or was there something about being within 3 months, or is that gone?
