Just had a look - yea really nice. I wouldn`t be letting my sister wear that especially if she was that hot!

Her dress was incredible - by far the nicest of the day. I have a feeling that will be copied far more than the bride's dress:eek:

I preferred Kate's dress! Never seen a maid of honour in a white (off white, ivory, whatever it actually was) dress before - is that not usually frowned upon or is that colour the new pastel pink? :D

ah yea there is no doubt pippa looked amazing and so did catherine but did anyone else notice how they were just both they most natural looking and classic beauties of the day

100% They are natural beauties. But then if you look at the mother you'll see why!

Kates dress was beautiful... simple and classic and elegant and Pippas dress was just right to go with it. Two natural beauties and I agree you only have to look at their mother.

Pippa looked amazing just simply gorgeous, and Harry looked better than the groom. Anyone see Pippa standing next to Harry during the balcony appearance? They looked like a great couple!

Pippa was wearing too much tan, she looked really brown next to her sister.

Kate's dress for the reception was beautiful. I keep forgetting just how slim she is.

I thought bridesmaids didn't wear white dresses. So, why was Pippa allowed wear white?
I also heard that Kate did her own makeup, is that normal on the day of a wedding?

Plenty of brides do their own make up...

I think she had to wear white as a royal thing.....don't quote me on that on though.

    She was stunning.

Perfectly normal I did for my wedding other people always do it wrong. Very common to do your own now makes sense spend the money on products you love and you`ll be able to keep instead (thats what I did :D)

I definitely preferred Kate's but it was beautiful as a bridesmaid dress, the nicest I've seen, I actually loved the white! I think her figure and colouring made it though, not many could have pulled it off!

just out of interest, i'm intrigued as to why you would think that a brittish royal wedding should have to be ''allowed'' do anything?! :pac:

and who - in any realm -on any subject - gets to decide what is and isn't ''normal'':pac:

I presume he means that people give the impression that brides veto anything that draws attention away from them on their big day (i.e. having the maid of honour in white). Kinda like how people lose the plot if a guest turns up in a white outfit as if trying to steal the bride's thunder.

There was a thread on here not long ago about wearing a dress that was predominantly white to a wedding and most of the responses were along the lines of 'no way'.

I think all that sort of thing has changed now to be honest. I heard of a wedding recently where all the bridesmaids wore white and the bride wore red! I think its a personal choice now - as it should be.

Am I the only one that didn't like it? I mean appreciate that it was a lovely dress, but something wasn't quite right.

I like that it was white, but I think this worked as there was only one (adult) bridesmade. Pippa and Kate's dresses were nicely complimented also.

Pippa has an amazing figure, but I think the dress/fabric made her look too flat/skinny. The cowel neckline reminds me of a knitted winter jumper, or suitable for an older lady.

Did anyone else notice the creases from when she had been sitting down?

A lovely dress, but not for me, or for a royal wedding in my opinion.

Kate's dress on the otherhand, flawless!

No you're not the only one. I have a thing about bias cut dresses anyway - I generally don't like them - I much preferred the Temperley dress she wore for the evening reception. Loved Kate's dress though.

I loved Kate's dress too - it was perfect for her. But I still think it's Pippa's that will be copied by lots of brides everywhere. It's simpler, flattering and easier to wear.
On the subject of Kate, while her dress was stunning, the veil was not right. It was too flat and old fashioned for her. She would have been better with something fuller and shorter - or without it at all.
