I'm going camping with my 15 month old baby and was planning on sleeping in the car by removing the back 5 seats, this would mean my baby traveling on the front seat.

I can't find anywhere in the manual how to turn off the passenger airbag, has anyone done it?

    Its a 2001 model

No, I couldn't find a slot on the side of the dash on either the passenger or driver side or in the glove box, wasn't sure if I'm missing something or if I'd have to bring it to a vw dealer which I'd rather not

If you put the child seat in the passenger seat - do you get any indication that the car has turned off the airbag (due to it detecting it's not an adult in the seat)?
