burning bushes/county council contact

Helllo,
Can anyone post up a link or a phone number of who to call when you are going to burn bushes?

Im in Galway! A quick google doesnt bring me up anything good.

I don't know, maybe ring the council direct, or the local fire service or Garda station might know?

Your local council - try any department they will point you in the right direction. Although here in Kerry they have just put a stop to burning right at the time when we are all getting rid of our dead hedges - so best to check first.

I thought you cannot burn anything between 1 March and 31 August!

You need permission from County Council for burning. This only covers if someone rings the fire service you wont get charged. This permission does not cover Department of Agriculture. You cannot burn From 1st March - 31 August. You can lose your SFP.
