€569 on pay as you go for the 16gig, with 3G. I am guessing these are locked to Vodafone.

Same price as the Xoom 32 gig wifi only.

    Tempting...

I wonder will people be put off by the way it is kinda obsolete before it went on sale. Then again Android stuff is always somewhat obsolete by the time you get it into your hands. It is supposed to be only a few grams heavier than the next Samsung 10 inch tablet.

    Obsolete how?

Well obsolete is not the correct word, basically there is a slimmer version going to be released in America in June thats thinner than the ipad2

    http://www.engadget.com/2011/03/22/samsung-galaxy-tab-8-9-and-new-galaxy-tab-10-1-thinner-than-the/

I think I would wait for the slimmer version, but then again I am very tempted by the eeeeeePad or xoom with its sd slot, hdmi etc...

Obsolete isn't the right word but I'm not sure what is. It is like Apple announcing the iPad 2 will be available in 3 months before the iPad has even been released.

This one is way nicer looking than the slim version if you ask me. It's still only 11mm thick which is thinner than my desire. I'd pick this out of the two if the specs were the same (presume they are).

Nicest looking of all the tablets so far actually.

Not really, it's the same tablet just in a slightly different body.

Their are some small differences between the original one, renamed 10.1v and the slimmer one. The original camera is 8mp etc, just little things, IMO they just made a slimmer one to show off to Apple but when you don't release a product who is the winner? A shame Vodafone doesn't supply a wifi only model, don't really need 3G as can share from my sgs, but still going for this one or the Asus, can't make my mind up;)
