But thats not saying they are all operating,

But I'm sure that does not answer your question. :D

I have had one for a few years which is basically a vehicle for my freelance work, but I am in the process of starting another one that is unrelated and will employ a few people.

Any inventors out there? I have a very simple and obvious idea relating to hot water use and I would love to get it off the ground. I believe it has the potential to save energy too, so has green cred, which is good. PM me if you think you can help. Oh, and if you try to rip me idea off....i'll find you

    What are these businesses?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 116 ✭✭ir555

    One company (setup 2010).

In this company we have just taken over an existing watersports school. best ever start to the season in 16 years...

We are starting another school in a new location in 3 weeks. Expected to be a major success.

Two more in the pipeline for 2012.

Another project to launch a range of watersports products for the global market (all made in Ireland) is progressing very well.

Still have a full time job also to ensure the above succeed.

Tough going but its a dream come true and we will catch up on sleep in the winter.

If your thinking about setting a new business up - GO FOR IT. Nothing like wondering what would have happened.....

One is a hypnotherapy practice set up in 2008 and helps fund a not-for-profit register of hypnotherapy. A mini website building business stemmed up from it too.

The next one was set up last year and is a building, maintenance and cleaning company, stll at infantile stage, but has worked for big business.

I have a project if you are interested - I can explain the project/concept to you and you can deal with programmers/designers to build it ... I will promote it and do work for it.

if you are still interested after hearing the details (subject to signing non-disclosure form) .... if so we can talk about percentages.

I'm in the process of becoming a part owner of one (partnership in accountancy firm). In a shameless promotion click on my username or PM me if anybody wants some help/needs a new/change in accountant.

Very excited about it all. The practice has always done well, we get good a good level of referrals but really looking forward to trying to get more new clients in the door and expanding. Being pro active rather than waiting on referrals.

Pay e100 to formations agent. Sign a few forms. Congrats you now own a company? Not exactly an exclusive club.

Would be better off asking who has a company that actually does stuff.

<- owner of software r&d company. Myself and 1 part-time contractor, going 2 years. 6 figure business, main customers are London financial institutions, unrelated side project doing android development.
