    Hi,

Just looking for any views as to which golf club would be better to join if anyone has any views or experiences of these clubs. Hazel Wood full membership is €600 and Dublin Mountain membership is €500 although its in writing that once membership ends in January there is no guarantee of being offered another years membership in Dublin Mountain.

I'm relatively new to the sport, have had a few lessons and have all my own equipment just eager to get out there and start playing. Any feedback is appreciated!!

    Thanks

DM it could be the cows have taken over the course and hence it is only on a year by year bases

Think you might be referring to Hazel Grove just beyond the Jobstown Inn. Advantage of DM is that it's 18 holes, but I'd have preferred Hazel Grove in terms of course conditions when I last played them both years ago but uncertain as to the state of them more recently.
From the Hooked review, sounds like DM is as it was then. If you're living in Tallaght, HG is nearer and will save you money on fuel and time over the year, but some one on here will have more up to date info on the situation in the club now. It might also be worth exploring other options in the area - heard Dublin City was getting cheaper and on the way to DM but a much better course, and if you don't mind travelling a little bit further out, there's Tulfarris or Blessington Lakes to consider.
    Best of luck!

They are both desperate courses in fairness. Look at other options if at all possible.
