Got a 2006 Hyundai Santa Fe (new model) couple of weeks ago. Didnt really notice at first but lately the ride has been awful, especially for people sitting in the back. I wasnt expexting limo style comfort or anything but its just noisy and sore.

Just wondering if anyone knows what would solve the problem, if anything. Are new/ upgraded shocks a possibility? & Are they expensive?

    Thanks in advance....

Sounds like something is wrong. I'd get it checked over by someone who knows what they are at.

What kind of alloy wheels do you have on it? Are they standard? Have you checked tyre pressures? There's a sticker on the drivers door frame but it should be about 30psi.

Hi I have a Santa fe 07 problems I have had due to noise and feeling vibration in rear. First I had to change front link arms and ball joints. This sorted the knocking in the front Then I had to change the two rear tyres as they had gone out of shape and were only half worn. This sorted out the vibration in the rear.

ya, got droplinks replaced today but mechanic said he was'nt happy with it... He had to bring it to another garage with one of those road simulator things.. turns out there some give in the steering rack so hes replacing it, thank christ its still under warranty (E630 + vat)

Another thing, the car is an absolute sow on diesel..... UNREAL!!!
Think this yoke might go down as a learning experience!!!:(

The high pressure fuel pump, on the upper passenger side of the engine, could be at fault here - they are pretty bad for leaking, you should see a wet patch and a pretty strong smell of diesel underneath the pump and on top of the gearbox.
