    Hi all

Just want to know if anyone can help. I've never travelled by ferry before and I need to go to Manchester next fri-sun and I am staying in Cork so for convienence I'd want to travel from Cork.

Can anyone help as to how I can get to manchester from wherever the ferry docks, and where would it dock?

I also want to book it online?

    Thanks,

    petite

    Will you be driving?
Why do you want/need to go by Ferry?
Do you need to be in Manchester on the Friday by a certain time or be back in Cork by a certain time on the Monday?

Whatever way you go it's going to be a bit of a trek.

Manchester is inland and has no port. There is no ferry connection between England and Cork (Cork and south Wales yes).

    Solution? fly.

(Or get ferry to Liverpool from Dublin and drive or train to Manchester)

You could catch the Cork - Swansea ferry and have a long drive to Manchester or have a long drive from Cork to Dublin , then catch the Irish ferries at Dun Laoire to Holyhead then drive /get train to Manchester .
