Any of the knock-offs any good?
We have a couple of argos ones here and they're cack
Can't compete in Call of Duty as soon as you get the knock-off one...

Argos have a decent range for a tenner or so...
Any expierence?

I haven't had any experience with cheaper controllers specifically from Argos but i have got other cheaper versions from elsewhere and every single one i have got has been crap tbh. Especially if you want to play any FPS. Reaction time from once you use the controller just seems very slow. After you press the button it takes a second for the action to take effect.
Thats why if i do need to replace PS3 controllers now and i am lacking some funds i just buy used ones online that are in good condition. Not sure this helps but that would be my advice.

I'm quite used to the Xbox controller and this has pretty much the exact same design.

Anybody used this one before? Reviews suggest that it's not too bad.

We have 2 of those and imo - they're crap.
One of the lads is an xbox head though and he loves it...

Good old dealextreme have them. Can't vouch for the quality but there are some customer reports, mixed bag really, some good some bad. Best advice is just fork over for a real one

had one of those, very over rated controller, figgity r2/l2 and bad dead zone one.

You can pick up a new controller for just over €33. Thats pretty good value and i think at that price no other unofficial controller can come close for value and quality.

If you don't want to splash out on a controller, look for the old sixaxis ones. Much cheaper, and you're only losing Dual Shock

Might be worth getting an official one in the long run, considering Sony banned a rake of 3rd party hardware with firmware 3.5. This link, or well the links it links to, might be useful:

Only unlicensed controllers were stopped by that update.
Licensed controllers still work.
