Best decision you've ever made?

Following on from the 'one regret' thread... what's the best decision you've ever made?

Mine was emigrating to look for a job (not to oz!). Best decision I've made so far. Had to rough it for about a month but I have a completely different life. Couldn't be happier.

So has anyone ever made a kind of life changing decision? Did it work out for the better?

Probably my best decision was about 2 years going to travel alone in South America on career break. Ended up not returning to my job in Dublin and working in Buenos Aires, where I have so many brilliant memories (and some bad ones!), and visiting a lot of the continent. Now I don't think twice about going anywhere I want to once I can afford it (currently living in Spain). I can remember being on the plane to Brazil getting nervous, thinking what am I doing going off on my own like this.

Not connected to the thread, where are you living OP?

My vagina is fresh and clean for you Az

The vest decision I made was to walk away from this thread. Az is more twisted than I can handle. Would not end up, I'm already traumatized from the last encounter :(

Moving to London for 3 months. Some bad things may have happened. But working over here has really been a great experience. And I have really come out of my shell.

My best decision was to try chocolate covered raisins even though the idea of it sounds disgusting. I love them. Love them. They're so good I post about them on the internet.

Last September quitting the job, and one and only industry I worked in since leaving school over a decade ago, to go Uni and study something I genuinely am passionate about.

I was self employed for 10 years and had a few months of work ahead of me, when there was little work was to be had.

At 32 years of age committing myself to at least 4 and possibly 6/7 years of study(unpaid of course!), with a group of youngsters generally 14 years young than me, many people said I was mad.

However, I only took the advice of positive people, and most importantly followed my heart, and I can truly say it has been one of, if not the, greatest decision I have ever made in my life.

I'am quite broke in financial terms, but fortunate as I had little or no debt before embarking on this change.

New openings and paths have flourished up for me and I have never been happier.

I laugh when thinking that I may have never found this happiness if I had of listened to those who told me it couldn't be done!.

    Go follow your dreams.

Taking a loan out and going on a J1 a few years ago. Met my GF there and had the time of my life! Loan is long paid off at this stage and the GF and the memories are still with me.

I can confirm it's really not dangerous once you're not stupid about things.

My best and worst decision are the same one! I took the job I'm in. Hate it but met the missus who I am more than moderately fond of.

    What do I do?

    Start a new thread?
