I signed up with sky for their 100 euro casback plus 67 euro rebate with fatcheese.

I got the sky + and multiroom with hd box.

I got onto UPC to cancel and they offered me digital plus multiroom for about 20 euro.
I then got on skys cancellation dept to cancel the installation and ended up with another offer of 50 euro against my account.
I gladly accepted and cancelled UPC :D

Makes it about 18 euro per month when the rebates are included:D.

    To do the maths . It was working out at 420 for the year - 100 - 67 - 50 = 203 p.a.

Isnt that great of them, such kind souls they are .
Fact of the matter is that they have been ripping off Irish customers for the last few years with their farcical costs here.
6 Mixes in the UK is £24.50 ,its 33 euro here.
Sky Sports in the UK is £20.25, its 34 euro here .
Sky Movies in the UK is £16, its 28 euro here
Sky World Pack in the UK is £52,its 76 euro here
Considering the UK pound is ~ 89c at todays rates and hasnt been below 80c in over 2 years ,we are being ripped off.
Sky shouldnt be freezing their prices in Ireland ,they should be reducing them by at least 30%.

+1. You should copy & paste that comment on to an email to Jeremy Darroch, Head Honcho in Sky.

I will do that ,just to see what the reply will be.
I think someone on here did similar a while back and they got a reply explaining the pricing differences which cited ludicrous reasons.

Called Sky on behalf of a relative recently.

Got connected to Derry, then Stockport, then Cork, got cut off, then Cork again.

On returning home, I hugged my Humax Freesat receiver and all was well with the world again.
