Facebook Mobile Confirmation Code

Hi,
I got a text from FACEBOOK with a mobile confirmation code. It also gives me an alternative option to visit a website. Finally, the text says 'SMS charges may apply'.

I have not listed my phone number on my facebook. Is this a genuine mistake where someone may have requested an activation code and gave the wrong number which was coincidently mine, or do you think it may be someone posing as facebook. I also thought I may have listed my number on a linked website before but that possibility could be endless in that case.

Should i just delete the text?
