What is a 1998 Opel Atra worth

Hi,
I am going to sell my Opel Astra, its a 1998 light blue. The inside is in great condition. There are some small marks around bumper. And some bigger marks on the door. (Which could easily be hidden if I just wet the car, but I wont). NCT until September 2012 Tax until July. Runs Great. About 98k miles. (The mileage clock stopped working, would I be correct to assume that no one is willing to buy it until I get it fixed). New radio worth €150 new tires and recently serviced.

So roughly how much should I be putting it up for if I don't want to be waiting a long time to sell it.

Would it be worth much extra if there was a new engine in it?

It does run great. But my friend said that he can get a new engine put in for free. If it would add any extra value to the car than I would get it put in.

Why would you put a new engine in? And is the "new" engine actually brand spanking new? They aren't usually free...

Yes brand new. Some one owes him a favour and he just told me that he could get one for free. I wont bother if its not going to increase the value though.
