I have applied for about hundred jobs an dplan on sending out more C.Vs.

I'm afraid I wont remember what the jobs are and when they ring ill sound silly on the phone.

Any advice as to how ye remember all the jobs ye have applied for?

This having to send out hindreds of cvs is a joke !

write down the name, job title and key points of the jobs and stick it in your wallet.

from my experience when a potential employer rings me they introduce themselves and mention the job title of the job I applied for.

Exact same situation a few months ago, about 50 CVs i sent away. Its easy, just get an A4 pad or something and write them all down everytime you send one off, and any other details you may need and keep it in an easy access place so that if you get a phone call you can find it.

I got a phone call a while ago and the guy told me his name and the companys name and I saw it on the list but i forgot to write where the compnay was! He asks can you made it down for an interview thursday, sure i says, didnt have a fecking clue where i'd be going but sure. Hung up and looked up the company, half way across the country so it was.

Are you tailoring your CV and cover letter for each job you apply for, or are you just blasting out a generic application?

Ditto. Not only do I tailor the CV/Cover letter for the job, but I also save copies of the cover letters, renaming them to include date/job/where seen. I then file them by year/month on the laptop.

I find it much easier to keep track that way.

It's no good sending cvs when you have no way of keeping track of them all.

I was jobhunting recently so I bought a laser printer, a stack of paper and loads of paper folders.

Every time I applied for a job, i set up a file. I printed out the job spec, cv and cover letter I used to apply for the job, any email correspondence sent or received and notes on any telephone communication between myself and the company (including who I was speaking to, time and date.)
