    Quick question.

When I moved into my apartment I had UPC digital but have since switched to SKY.

In the apartment there was a UPC connection always in the bedroom, which I have never used before. I tried to connect up a TV with a normal pipe but was getting nothing, should the free view channels not come up on that or do I need to get connection with UPC?

    You need to pay.

When you stopped paying UPC they probably disconnected the connection on the exterior of the building so none of the TV points are connected to the UPC network.

They're under no obligation to supply any "free" channels anyway. In fact, they'd do themselves a favour if they stopped the analogue signals altogether. Then they wouldn't need to physically connect or disconnect any premises once they're cabled in the first place.

Technically, there are no free channels on UPC.

What does the socket connect to. Thats your first task.
