I'm organising a North/South Infinity gaming day to take place in Gamers World on Saturday May the 28th.

Some of our Northern neighbours will be coming down for the day to play Infinity and run demos for anybody who doesn't know the game but is interested in playing.

Full details are available at http://infinity-ireland.org/

Tables are already booked with Martin.

I don't know exactly what it'll be like yet except that it's going to be non-serious fun gaming with complete beginners welcome and I can guarantee a days Infinity gaming to those who show up.

If it goes well I'm sure there'll be a return invite to go visit the lads up North in the future.

Glad to hear it. I'll definitely be along. I've picked up the Haqislam starter set and am beginning to fail to do them justice with my paint skills. Should we bring our own models along on the day?

Yep, if you have your own models then absolutely bring them along. There'll be games of Infinity to play. At various point levels depending on how big forces people have.

If you don't have your own models then I'll be able to supply a number of armies for people probably four or five 250 point armies anyway.

Don't worry too much about your force being painted - it's nice if it is but the loaner armies I'll be lending on the day will be mostly unpainted. Work/College/Babies have put the super-kaibosh on my painting!

Nobody wants to play your silly samurai space game Greg.

Wizards and dragons on square bases are where it's at my nerd homie.

    Now play some fantasy.

    LOL, cheers, Woody!

I'll save some Space Gypsy Furry Loving Nomads just for you on the day :P

    Heya,

Don't forget that this is on this saturday in Gamer's World Jervis street from 11am.

Martin has received some prize support from Corvus Belli themselves but it's not going to be a competitive event, it's aimed at everybody even those who have never played a game but are interested in trying it out.

    See you there.

Stupid football on Saturday means I can't make this.

But it does seem like it'll be a blast of a day.
    Have fun lads.

A big thank you to everybody who came to the event yesterday.

We'd 15 players, 12 of whom own various size Infinity forces and I'm delighted with the turn-out.

    Thanks a lot.

    Future events:
Q-Con infinity tournament - Sunday 26th June, Queen's University Belfast.

and we'll have a repeat North/South gaming day probably in about 2 months as it was such a success. Further details and an infinity mailing list where anybody interested in starting the game can organise games or demos are at http://www.infinity-ireland.org
