    hello

was looking at the various sites for applying for a vietnam visa online, and seen the stamp fee must be paid in cash at the airport. all the sites deal in dollars, does anyone know what currency you'd have to pay the stamp fee in?

    any help appreciated
    thanks

Would have to be dollars. Visas in general are nearly always dealt with in dollars.
Also you cant get Vietnamese dong outside Vietnam so you would hardly pay with that

Actually you can get vietnam dong in Australian currency exchanges due to the large vietnamese population living down under.

Actually it is relevant I was correcting your false information that you actually can purchase vVietnam dong before you go to Vietnam.
    Please do your research

He was asking what currency you pay the stamp fee in, I highly doubt its in dong just because you can buy dong in one place in the world outside Vietnam. Thus it is irrevelant to the question asked

You said you cannot buy vietnam dong outside of Vietnam I was merely correcting your false info and yes it is relevant as many Irish people can avail of this whilst traveling in oz if they intend to go to Vietnam for a holiday.

Things generally turn out to be cheaper when paid in dollars. How much are you paying?

    Hello njgallagher,

I used that company last year on a brief visit to Vietnam. You should get a swift reply from them with a printout that you need to take with you. IIRC I paid the company fee for the visa and brought USD with me to pay the fee at the airport visa booth. Just be sure to bring a couple of passport photos, the printout and the fee required in USD at the airport and all will be fine.

    Enjoy your trip!
